How you can reduce the signs of Cellulite in 6 weeks

Cellulite appears on the skin, promoting an unsightly, irregular and wavy appearance, commonly called "orange peel", which appears essentially by the accumulation of fat, water and toxins in the deeper layers of the skin, contributing to incorrect oxygenation of the tissues. Most women are more predisposed to this effect, which has varying degrees of severity and various manifestation symptoms. This skin condition negatively affects not only self-esteem and personal image, but also cellular health.

CAUSES

There are several causes that can trigger its presence, but it can usually be aggravated due to factors such as: hormonal dysfunctions, genetics, food imbalances, sedentary lifestyle, smoking, circulatory problems and fluid retention among others.

Using cosmetics with stimulating active ingredients and associating their application with a specific massage, helps to stimulate local blood circulation, reduce fluid retention, and improve firmness, elasticity and flexibility of the skin. In addition, these are essential in defining the shape of the body, maintaining the correct hydration of the skin, improving its appearance and leaving it visibly healthier.

Lifestyle plays a preponderant role in the appearance of cellulite. A proper diet, daily physical activity, good hydration and proper supplementation make all the difference in the final result. Although reducing visible cellulite is only possible with a multifactorial approach, there are ingredients that can help facilitate this process. A combination of ingredients with draining action, which promotes better microcirculation and improves skin tone and digestive function, are facilitators of success

Cellulite can develop on the thighs because the area naturally has more fatty tissue. Other risk factors for the development of cellulite include:

  • age

  • estrogen

  • family history

  • tissue inflammation

  • increased fatty tissue caused by weight gain

  • loss of collagen

  • poor circulation (a common issue in the legs)

  • poor lymphatic drainage

  • thinning epidermis (outer layer of skin)

Step exercises, walking, squats, losing weight, drinking more water to reduce the toxins in our body can all aid in reducing it, self-tanners can also reduce the ‘look’ as the paler the skin, the more visible it is.

What foods cause cellulite on legs?

Processed fatty foods like cheese and sausages are a big cellulite-busting no-no. But good fats, like those found in oily fish such as salmon and mackerel, can actually help to smooth things out. The fatty acids it contains help your body to metabolise fat, including that of cellulite

Why is my cellulite so bad?

Cellulite is caused by toxins in your body. ... Rather, cellulite occurs when underlying fat deposits begin to push through layers of collagen fibers, or connective tissue, under the skin (often in the buttocks and thigh areas, but also on arms, stomachs, and other common trouble spots, as well).

Is coffee bad for cellulite?

It's not caffeine alone that can cause cellulite, but high caffeine consumption along with refined sugar, alcohol and processed foods may lead to cellulite. To minimise the risk of cellulite, aim to limit your intake of all these, drink organic coffee as your source of caffeine and eat natural, organic food.

Why do females get cellulite?

It's a condition that affects 90 percent of women and 10 percent of men, mostly in industrial nations. As women start approaching menopause, estrogen starts decreasing. From 25 to 35 is when you start seeing the appearance of cellulite. Estrogen has an impact on the blood vessels.

Do you lose cellulite when you lose weight?

Cellulite can develop or become more noticeable after gaining weight. ... Losing weight and strengthening the muscles in the legs, buttocks and abdomen may make cellulite less noticeable in those areas, but it won't go away altogether. That is because once a fat cell develops, it is yours for life.

Now I think we can safely say that to banish cellulite is impossible but we can reduce it and it’s appearance by making some lifestyle changes.

Does dry brushing help reduce cellulite?

People swear by dry brushing for cellulite. Dry brushing helps promote circulation and lymphatic drainage, which can help reduce inflammation and strengthen your connective tissue—and in turn, minimize the appearance of cellulite.

The Anti-Cellulite Kit - has been developed to prevent/attenuate the unwanted "orange peel" effect caused by cellulite, providing the hydration, firmness and elasticity that the skin needs. How you can use honey to pamper your hair & skin

Legend has it that honey was Cleopatra’s preferred weapon in her beauty arsenal, and now science is catching up to what many women have known for years. Honey, especially raw or unpasteurised, is a fabulously versatile and all-natural ingredient to use on skin. It’s full of antioxidants, which are good for wrinkles and aging skin. It is antibacterial, which helps with acne treatments and prevention. It clarifies skin by opening up and unclogging pores. It’s also a great moisturiser that soothes irritation and blemishes, and it leaves a lovely afterglow.

Try the following honey recipes for an effective, at-home spa treatment and really pamper your hair & skin.

1. Moisturising honey masks

Make sure your hair is pulled back from your face before starting one of these recipes. Your face will feel clean and soft afterwards.

1) Scoop a generous spoonful of honey into your hand and spread all over your face. Rub it into your skin and let sit for 5-30 minutes. Rinse with warm water. 2) Combine 1 tbsp buttermilk, 1 tsp honey, and 1 egg yolk. Apply to clean skin and let sit 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

2. Honey facial cleanser

Honey is good at dissolving makeup residue, especially when mixed with a gentle oil. Combine honey and jojoba OR coconut oil to create an easily spreadable texture. Rub it into your skin, avoiding eye area, to loosen makeup and unclog pores. Rinse with warm water.

3. Honey almond body scrub

This scrub is finger-licking good. The texture from the ground almonds exfoliates the skin, while both the almonds and honey moisturize. Combine 2 tsp. ground almonds and 2 tsp. honey to form a paste. Rub into your face with a circular motion. Rinse with warm water. You could easily increase the quantities to treat your whole body.

4. Honey skin lotion

If you’re feeling that dry winter skin coming on, mix a spoonful of honey with a teaspoon of olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice (a natural skin brightener). Apply this lotion to dry areas and let sit for 20 minutes. Wipe off with a warm face cloth.

5. Lemon-honey facial treatment

This is a fun one that’s a bit different. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. They also contain alpha hydroxy acids that exfoliate. Cut a lemon in half and remove the seeds. Add 1 tsp honey to one of the lemon halves. Rub the cut side all over your face. Let it sit 5 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

6. Honey hair shine-boosting rinse

There are two options. 1) Combine a spoonful of honey with 1 litre of warm water. Rinse through hair after shampooing. Let it condition for an hour, then rinse. 2) Mix 1-1/2 tsp honey with 5 cups warm water. Rinse through hair and leave on. Dry and style as usual.

7. Cleopatra’s milk-and-honey bath soak

Combine ¼ cup honey with 2 cups milk and a few drops of essential oil. Add to a hot bath, sit back, and relax.

8. Honey exfoliant

Use this scrub once a week to soften and clarify your skin. Mix 2 parts honey with 1 part baking soda and rub into your face. This is also good for a full body scrub.
